AND THE WINNER IS ...

Well, the winners are, in fact, Brian K. Vaughan, Pia Guerra and Jose Marzan Jr. This weekend at San Diego Comic-Con "Y - The Last Man" won Eisner Awards for best continuing series and best penciller/ inker team! Congratulations, folks! : )

Well deserved. And you were a part of that story.

By the way, I finally got to read the first issue of Chas. I can't say much about the story (since not that much has happened yet), but Matt Hollingsworth colors are both a blessing and a curse. Some pages (like that beautiful confrontation between John and that huge demon on page four) looked better in black and white, while other pages are enhanced by the colors. Especially the last two pages, with the "knowledge" effect that reminds me of both Frank Quitely and Akira.

Great work.

Uhm, but back to Y - The Last Man. Eisner awards, yay!

micha, thanks!
yeah, you're right. first issue is just an introduction. well, second one is just around the corner. : )
as for matt, i'm really happy with his work, even on those pages that would function in b/w, while on most of them his part is just crucial.
and, uhm, back to 'y' - last two issues i did came out in 2007, so, there's my little part in best continuing series, but i'm sure the great ending is what brought the award to the book! : )
