Found this drawing today while searching for unused piece of paper. It was done couple of years ago. Started as something else, but ended up as trying out different textures. By the end of it (lower right corner) I've lost patience. I'm such a quitter! >:)

Something different

Ahhhhh, it's been awhile.
Not doing much drawing lately. I took some schoolbook to illustrate, because I thought it's gonna be fun to draw something completely different from Chas.
And it is - different, I mean. Fun? Sometimes. But most of the time I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. I don't have a style developed for such purpose, so it's kinda hit and miss situation.
I'll probably get into it soon. As soon as I'll be doing the last illustration in the book! : )

It was brought to my attention (thanks, Božo) that somebody made a trailer for a comic about Tomislav, the first Croatian king, I did last year with Darko and Tonči. Good work, boys! I wish I knew about it earlier.

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh ...
I can't describe how much I'm enjoying my time off! Having long coffee breaks, sorting out files and papers (recycling, recycling), replying long-postponed e-mails, visiting friends and even partying deep into the night.
I'm still avoiding digging into the mountain of bills and legal papers I have to take care of, but I already started doodling and sketching without obligations.
Some night ago I was over at Mrva's and Bob's place. As always, it was lot of fun and we listened to Mance (among others). So, I tried to to draw him from the memory. First drawing is nowhere near to what it should be. Couldn't shake off my routine. The second one was closer, but despite my clear memory of his distinctive features, I couldn't get it right. So we did a quick Google check and the third one fell in the place just right.
Made me happy! : )
